It doesn’t get much softer and cozier than Cozy Earth’s Brushed Bamboo Joggers, which have plenty of stretch and come in a tall version. They have an elasticized waist, two side pockets and a handy zippered back pocket to keep valuable secure. Our tester notes that these pants hold their shape well, even after constant wearing and washing, and they’ve maintained a brushed softness.

For a versatile jogger you can wear all day, you need something light, easy and durable—with plenty of pocket space. “These are fashionable, comfortable and lightweight,” says our tester. “They run smaller, though—the large feels like a medium, with the waist tighter and the legs shorter.” Lululemon’s ABC Joggers are made from a flexible material with four-way stretch, so they’ll keep up with you when you’re running around town, and with extra deep pockets, you’ll be able to store all of your essentials on the go. A zippered back pocket also protects your wallet.

For all your workout needs, Alo Yoga’s Co-op joggers are designed with training in mind. They’re made from durable water repellant (DWR) nylon, so they keep you cool and dry during workouts, plus zippered side pockets help hold your essentials. “The fabric is soft, light and breathable—the stretchiness of the pants made them comfortable for both exercising and lounging in,” says our tester. “The material held its form well, and I could sit down and up without the knee-area fabric stretching out.” However, our tester didn’t love that these run large; he had to tie the drawstring, and the legs seemed long.

Mack Weldon’s highly-rated joggers are made from soft cotton with just a hint of stretch, so not only do they feel great, but they allow for movement when you’re running through an airport terminal, sitting on a plane or sightseeing. They look just as good as they feel, with a nicely tailored fit, so you don’t seem too casual (or like an unfashionable tourist). “They are very comfortable—they’re thicker and warm yet somehow very breathable,” our tester says. “I would wear these pants to bed all this winter.” He also appreciated the well-fitting waist and length; however, he found they were tight in the thighs and calves.

If you have an athletic build or prefer a looser fit, Reigning Champ’s midweight terry joggers are a good option. They’re cut with a wide-leg silhouette, jersey-lined pockets, flatlock seams and drawcord cuffs. The ribbed waistband also ensures these joggers won’t hang overly low, and this pair comes in four easy-to-wear colors. “The relaxed baggy fit is comfortable, and the pants look stylish,” our tester says. “The fabric is thicker and warmer, yet very soft, even after washing.” He also liked that the ankle drawstrings kept the pants from dragging and allowed them to fall nicely over sneakers. Note that while our tester used a previous, now-out-of-stock version of these pants, the updated pair is almost identical.
